In this article, I will list the top 5 beginner SEO tips that you can easily apply and help improve your website ranking.

1. Page Title Optimization is your page title text description that uses in search engine results and your web browser is displayed at the top of your window. Page title is very important in SEO and is one of the main factors that help your web page rank. Your title should have an accurate description of the content displayed on the page and should focus only on 2 or 3 main topics or key phrases.

The tag is contained in the section of an .html page. It’s a stand-alone element and does not really have a meta tag, but it’s the most important step to optimizing your website, whether it be a blog or a static web page.

This tag includes Google and other search engines in their results for linking to your website. This is the “first impression” and the only chance for a Google user to click to point to your website. It’s a mirror of quality that you offer on your website.

Your page title should use the keywords used in your content title and paragraph tags. If your web page contains content related to “Sydney SEO” or “SEO Central Coast”, then your title and paragraph tags should include the keywords “Sydney SEO” and “SEO Central Coast”.

2. Descriptive Link Anchor Text. Every website uses text links in some form. Google and other search engines read these links in relation to the rest of your web page and rate them based on how relevant they are. The link used in the link is “Anchor Text”. People make a big mistake when adding their pages together, they use anchor text such as “click here” or “read more”. It’s great that you use descriptive keywords in your link anchor text that are related to you on page copy and the page on which the link is located. For example, if I was linking to the content of Sydney SEO and Central Coast SEO, I would not say that “click here for more information” or “read more”, I would say “on Sydney SEO Click here for more information “or” Read more at the Central Coast SEO “.

3. Have Lots and Lots of Content. Content is probably the most important factor of SEO. Basically if you have content, your website will rank in spite of your page title or anchor text link. The more content you can get is related to your websites which is better. Google and other search engines love big websites and the more content you have, the more search engines can see the page and therefore the bigger the website you are.

4. Source Incoming Links are another good SEO tip, find external incoming links for your websites. One of the other ways of Google and other search engine rank websites is by scanning how many websites are linking to you and if those websites have search engine optimizers called “authorization”. Authorization websites can be other websites that rank very well with higher page rank, government websites or educational websites. The links that come to you from external websites and especially authorization websites, the higher search engines will rank you. A part of the skills in SEO is sourcing and authority backlinks.

5. Name Your Page Files Name. There is a lot of scope for SEO around the names of your pages. Google Guidelines indicate that you build a brand, but still the keyword rich filename does well in search … if SEO is corrected. They should be based on the top level keywords of that page, there is no reason to give the page or files a random name. If a page is based around the content of the keyword, then those names in the file name should be those keywords. Using my earlier examples, if there is content about “Sydney SEO” or “Central Coast SEO” in my page, then I may name my page as Sidney-Central-Coast-SEO.html or those lines I will do something with You will notice that I have used dashes (-) instead of underscores (_) to separate words. Google reads both as a word separator but the dashes are used more widely.
